Why I’m Running

 

​Nevada’s financial decisions quietly shape everyday life — from schools and housing to infrastructure and long-term stability. I’m running for State Treasurer because I believe the job requires steady judgment, careful stewardship, and decisions grounded in listening to communities across our state. This campaign is focused on responsibility over rhetoric, and long-term trust over short-term politics.

What the State Treasurer Does

The Nevada State Treasurer is responsible for:

• Safeguarding taxpayer dollars

• Managing state investments and cash flow

• Overseeing public finance tools that support schools, housing, and infrastructure

• Making careful, non-partisan financial decisions that affect every Nevadan

It’s a role that demands discipline, transparency, and restraint.

• Educator and special education teacher working directly with Nevada families

• Former public-service leader in national and state-level initiatives

• Doctoral researcher focused on public investment, accountability, and long-term governance

• Experience in business, policy, and community-based leadership

My approach to public finance is shaped by years of studying how institutions work — and by listening to people who feel the impact of those decisions every day.
